Help Cure Madison's Bad Blood
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Jenna Lee.
A few months ago, my sister Madison started feeling constantly fatigued, cold, and started looking very pale with white or blue lips. She was thinking that she was just suffering from long COVID.
After a hospital stay and many, many blood tests, she was diagnosed with a rare bone marrow disorder, Aplastic Anemia (also known as Bone Marrow Aplasia). Basically, Madison's bone marrow doesn't produce blood cells almost at all. She likes to call it Taylor Swift disease because "baby, now she has bad blood."
She's had many blood transfusions to stay alive, but the ultimate solution would be a bone marrow or stem cell transplant. We are hoping that my brother or I will be a match, but if not, she will have to wait for a donor to match.
All of this so far has already cost her a pretty penny. She's had multiple hospitalizations, four blood transfusions, extensive testing, and doctor visits. As she continues to need blood transfusions, and eventually a transplant, the costs will continue to add up.
If you've ever met my sister, you know that she is one of the most giving, animated, fun, and caring people. She is my absolute best friend.
Any amount adds up, and we appreciate any donation. Thank you.
