Help Curtis Get Through His Cancer Treatment

Hi my name is Stacey Cherry and I am starting this fundraiser for my husband Curtis he has recently been diagnosed with lung cancer. Curtis is 42 and we have 3 beautiful children. One who is married and is starting her life and family, and twins that just graduated high school and have just started college.

He was rushed to Emory hospital about 2 weeks ago for shortness of breathe, immediately was placed on oxygen. Curtis ended up having an infection in his lungs along with a blood clot. They placed him on blood thinners and placed him in the ICU cause the blood clot was placing stress on his heart. The doctors did an X-ray and saw some masses in the lungs, they then went and did CT scans and a biopsy. Biopsy results came back he did have stage 3 cancer. The doctors started him already on Chemotherapy and he has been released from the hospital and is now home. This is just the beginning he has a long road to recovery ahead of him. Unfortunately Curtis does not have health insurance everything right now is coming out of pocket. We where so very blessed to get the medicine that he needed to get discharged home with donated via the cancer center, but the question is what are we going to do when they run out. The blood thinner medicine alone is $700 per month, hus oxygen $200 a month. His ambulance ride almost $2,000, he was in the hospital for almost 2 weeks medicine, tests, scans, his first round of chemotherapy all of that...no insurance. We do not know what to do we have applied for assistance and insurance and we are waiting but in the mean time what are we going to do. He needs his medicine and his treatments. We need your help if anyone has anything to donate anything to help my husband continue his road to recovery, anything so that my husband is here to see his kids live there lives, it would more than appreciated it would be a blessing.
