Help Cyber Eagles Jade Robotics Students Compete in Europe!
Donation protected
In 2022, the Cyber Eagles Jade joined the Strathcona County Robotics Association not-for-profit. Since then, our grade 8-10 students from Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan, Edmonton, Ardrossan and Mundare have been learning important career skills through building and coding robots, connecting with local organizations, and promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math in our community. The 2024 season has been our best yet! We have earned an incredible opportunity to compete in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
Please help get all 8 Cyber Eagles Jade students to Eindhoven for the robotics competition!
What we do
Together, we design, build, and program robots to compete in the yearly FIRST Tech Challenge Competition alongside 6000 other teams from all around the world. Our students learn STEM skills that will fuel future careers such as Computer Aided Design (CAD), 3D-printing, machining, programming, and the engineering design process. More importantly, our students learn about effective teamwork, and how to become clear communicators and active members in their community. As part of giving back to our community this season, our students hosted a free, week-long LEGO robotics camp for children. They also have volunteered weekly at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, teaching patients how to build and code LEGO robots. Our students are also proud of their continued partnership with nonprofit Makers Making Change, in which they 3D print and assemble assistive devices and toys for people with disabilities.
Your support matters
Every bit counts! Your donation will go directly towards flight and hotel costs allowing our students to participate in the European Premier Event in Eindhoven, Netherlands from July 1-5, 2025.
THANK YOU for supporting our youth! You are helping develop future engineers, scientists, inventors, and problem solvers.
