Help Cynthia Recover from a Serious Car Accident
Donation protected
On Tuesday, April 5, 2022, Ms. Cynthia Ledesma was involved in a serious car accident on the corner of Broad St. and Walnut Creek in Mansfield, TX, she was rushed by ambulance to Medical City Arlington in Arlington, TX, where she remains in ICU. She sustained injuries to her kidneys, liver, and lungs. She has broken ribs and a serious injury to her spine. She underwent a 6+ hour spinal surgery in which she is currently recovering.
Cynthia was leaving her job to go on her lunch break when her car was struck from behind. Her vehicle was 1 of 4 involved in the accident. Cynthia’s coworkers learned of her accident after she did not return from her lunch break at her scheduled time. They were able to get to the scene of the crash where it was confirmed that she was involved in the accident. She was knocked unconscious and trapped inside her vehicle. Officers and pedestrians at the scene were unable to remove her from her car. The fire department had to use the ‘jaws of life” to remove her from her car.
Cynthia is young, kind-hearted and full of life. She can be seen smiling or finding something to giggle at. Prior to her surgery and while lying in the hospital bed in severe pain, she managed to talk, smile, and let out a couple of laughs with her family & coworkers. Cynthia enjoys hanging out with her friends on the weekends, dancing, riding horses and being a teacher. She has a soft spot for all the kids in her class. She was looking forward to winning her fitness challenge by eating healthy and working out. She had just experienced “leg day” at the gym the day prior to her accident and was excited. She has plans on enrolling in an Early Childhood Program to help further her career.
We are hoping that this GoFundMe will help her cover medical expenses, physical therapy, mental counseling, household bills and anything additional she may need on her journey to recovery.
