Help Cynthia's Fight for Life: Kidney Transplant
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,
I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for assistance on behalf of someone incredibly dear to us – my cousin, Cynthia. Her journey has been one of resilience, compassion, and selflessness, even in the face of profound health challenges.
Cynthia is a full-time worker, a dedicated volunteer, a passionate knitter, and a self-published author. She's faced kidney failure, enduring the grueling routine of dialysis and monthly IVIG infusions, all while maintaining her positive spirit. Imagine enduring dialysis as one of the less than 10% who suffer extreme pain during treatments – she refers to it as her 'torture routine,' a true testament to her strength.
Born prematurely in 1971, Cynthia's life has been a battle against respiratory issues. Diagnosed with asthma and an autoimmune disease in 2000, believed to be linked to her father's exposure to Agent Orange during the Vietnam War, her health struggles intensified. Yet, she turned her adversity into a force for good, dedicating herself to volunteer work and earning recognition for her contributions.
In November 2021, Cynthia faced a new challenge – End Stage Kidney Failure. Complications led to six surgeries, and now, with a sensitive peritoneal cavity, her dialysis treatments are excruciatingly painful. She must endure six hours of dialysis, four times a week, impacting her ability to work and causing financial strain.
Cynthia's best chance for survival is a kidney transplant, and she has been accepted as a transplant patient at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. This, however, brings additional financial burdens – accommodations, transportation, and living expenses for three months post-surgery. We are rallying together to ease the emotional and financial stress Cynthia and her family face.
We love Cynthia deeply, and we are asking for your help. Your contribution will alleviate the financial burden of current and future medical expenses and support her journey toward a healthier life. We urge you to consider becoming a living donor – your selfless act could be Cynthia's lifeline.
Please share this campaign widely, donate what you can, and spread the word about Cynthia's need for a living donor. Together, we can make a difference in her life and ensure she gets the chance to continue inspiring others with her resilience and kindness.
Thank you for your compassion, generosity, and support.
