Help Dad Move Into An Assistant Living Home.

Hello family and friends!

Recently there was an unexpected split in my immediate family that is requiring my father to have to move out of his current residence, and into an assisted living facility. He has been permanently disabled for almost a decade, and has been deemed incompetent by the state which is why assisted living is the best option at this time for his future.

Although this is a good thing for him, we have a short deadline to raise the funds that will cover his move in, and moving expenses. His move-in date is September 1st, 2023. Hoping to reach goal by August 21st if possible.

My father is on a fixed income through social security and the money he receives barely qualifies him to make the monthly rent. It does not cover the cost of the deposit to move-in and the moving expenses.

My brother and I are new fathers with new financial obligations and are unable to assist in the way that we would like. We will be taking a week off of work to travel to Tracy from San Diego (me) and from Washington State (my brother) to help him pack his belongings, clear out his storages, and then move his necessities to his new residence in the Sacramento area.
