Help Dagan get a new wheelchair van

Hi, my name is Christina Foshie and I am fundraising to be able to get a new(er) wheelchair van for my little guy, Dagan McMahan. I was Dagan's nurse for 7 years and had always told his Nana that if anything ever happened to her that I would take Dagan in and make sure he never went to a group home. Last July, Nana got sick with cancer and passed away. I was determined to keep my promise and on February 22, 2022 my husband and I were granted custody of Dagan! He now lives with us and is a part of our family! Dagan is a 9 year old boy with Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2. SMA is a degenerative disease that affects the muscles throughout the body. Dagan is ventilator dependent and unable to walk, but is able to use his hands, and navigates the world in his electric power chair.  Without a weelchair accessable van, Dagan will be unable to use his power chair out in public. We were blessed to recieve an older donated wheelchair van, but unfortunately, the repairs it requires are more than the van is worth, and I'm not sure it will make it through the winter. We need a new(er), dependable wheelchair van, not just for Dr appointments, but also so that Dagan can continue experiencing the world around him! Anything you can give would be amazing!
