To Daishyera’s friends, family, and beyond:
We are reaching out with heavy hearts to share news of the loss of the phenomenal Daishyera Chanel Marie Garner. Known as Daisy to many, she was a cherished friend, sister and daughter. Daishyera, who was a student in her final weeks at WKU pursuing a degree in Fashion Merchandising, tragically passed on November 17th, leaving behind a devastated family and community.
Daishyera was a talented creative with a unique eye for fashion. At 22 years old, she was a light to every person she came across. She was known for her dreams of becoming a famous fashion designer, powerful feminist/activist, and creating a name for herself in this world.
Her passing is beyond personal loss, for the world will now know her name through the people that will go forth and make this dream of hers come true.
We ask for your support during this time. The sudden and unexpected loss has brought not only emotional turmoil but also financial strain, as we grapple with the cost associated with this tragedy. All funds raised will go directly to Daishyera’s mother, Carmen Johnson.
