Help Dakota Beat Leukaemia #FROL
Donation protected
Dakota Stuart is 20 years of age and has been battling an aggressive form of leukaemia for the past twelve months.
Over the last year she has had several rounds of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately, in March this year, the family received the devastating news that the treatment had not been successful, and the leukaemia has returned, mutated and is now in 80% of her bone marrow.
With the aggressive nature of the leukaemia, the medical team are now trying a treatment that has just been approved in Australia with a 20% success rate. Without this treatment Dakota will not survive.
Due to this dire situation, we know all of you would like to assist Sue so she can be at Dakota’s side 24 hours a day, without the financial stress of worrying about how she’ll pay the mortgage, increasing medical bills and other everyday expenses.
Sue is a devoted single mum of two girls and a long term member of the New South Wales Police Force for over thirty plus years who, even whilst she has been supporting Dakota through this traumatic experience, has continued to volunteer her time and expertise to the wider netball community of Sydney.
Unbelievably, Sue has previously gone through a similar experience about 5 years ago when her younger daughter required chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant.
Now is the time for friends, colleagues and the greater community to help out our dear friend. If you wish to assist Sue and her family, please donate today.
