My "little" Brother Dale has had a Heart Attack and is in the hospital. As some of you know, he has COPD and has been dealing with that for 6 years. As a result of his inability to catch his breath at times, he has anxiety attacks that last for several minutes. Due to having Pneumonia, and having recurrent lung infections, Dale is not able to breath while doing simple things like walking around and cooking dinner.
In the early morning of Oct 15 Dale woke up gasping for breath and went into a panic attack and said it was a violent and scary situation. He had severe pain in his back and chest and thought he was going to die right there. He is now in the hospital and they are trying to stabilize his condition with lots of fluids, and medications.
They will be doing a Cath to check his heart when he is stable enough and continue him on an antibiotic regimen.
He has been a hard worker his entire life doing what he needed to do to take care of his family. He has been a painter and contractor and is used to being on the go and working 12 hour days. With his health condition, he has a hard time walking from the truck to the house some days, so he cannot work a full time job anymore He had been denied for disability for his COPD and has had to keep working to make his bills and groceries. He has finally been approved for Medicaid and that will begin in December, but he is in the hospital now, and he will be responsible for the bills as well as his normal bills at the house.
October 19th he will turn 49 years old. So please wish him a Happy Birthday and say a little prayer for him. The funds he receives from this will go directly to his bills and medicine and food for him to be able to get back on his feet.
