Help Dalia Ziada!

Dalia Ziada (in Arabic: داليا زيادة ; born 2 January 1982) is an acclaimed and award-winning Egyptian writer, political analyst, and human rights activist. She is the author of "The Curious Case of the Three-Legged Wolf - Egypt: Military, Islamism, and Liberal Democracy" and other internationally acclaimed non-fiction books on Middle East politics.

A few days after the October 7th horrific attack by Hamas Dalia condemned Hamas unequivocally and expressed support for Israel's military actions against Hamas. Her public stance led to significant backlash in Egypt, resulting in death threats.

To save her life, Dalia had to abandon overnight her life in Egypt and jump onto the first flight to the USA. Upon her arrival in the USA, she was informed that the general attorney in Egypt is investigating accusations of espionage, treason, and incitement of war crimes against her.

Dalia cannot return to Egypt and she is currently applying for asylum. The process can take up to 6 months, a period during which Dalia cannot work or otherwise earn her life.

Let's help Dalia, a voice of moral clarity within the the Arab-Muslem world, pay her bills and help her reboot her life in the USA. Once she gets the asylum, Dalia will be able to work as senior fellow in a prestigious Think tank. In the meantime, we need to support her.

Every dollar will go to Dalia and be used to pay for rent, food, and other necessities over the next six months.
