Help Dan, grieving husband & Dad to 3 young kids.

Dan and Sarah (Ngaa) Harkins have been through more trauma than most over the last few years.

Dan received a diagnosis of testicular cancer, from which he has since recovered, then his wife Sarah lost both her parents to COVID within 10 days of each other. As Sarah’s parents lived in Zimbabwe, the family were not able to attend their funerals.

Shortly after, Dan and Sarah were shocked to discover that what had started as persistent leg pain for Sarah, led to a stage 4 cancer diagnosis. With cancer spreading from her stomach and lymph nodes to her hip, shoulder, and spine, Sarah was informed that she had two years left to live. After responding positively to immunotherapy and chemotherapy, the couple received the devastating news that the cancer had spread to Sarah’s liver, and she sadly passed away on September 22nd, 2022.

During Sarah’s illness, Dan gave up full time work to care for her, along with their three young children - Levi (6), Atara (4) and Taliyah (20 months).

I am fundraising to assist Dan to adjust to his new role as a single parent. Donations received will help with everyday expenses (groceries, bills, medical appointments, school uniforms etc) so that Dan can focus his attention on his kids as they adapt to life without their dear Mum.
