Update, July 17th:

Daniel is being released from the hospital today and going to stay at the hotel Donna has been staying at for one more night. Then fly home tomorrow.

Funds are still greatly appreciated since the flights were not expected and are not cheap.

Update for July 15th:

“Daniel is doing better today. Sugar is still high, blood pressure is stable, still on Oxygen, still has speech issues, can walk with assistance, overall he is in good spirits. Can't wait to get home. Thank you all for your love, prayers, and support.” -Donna

Update for July 14th:

Daniel will need to be flown home and go into a rehabilitation center to improve fully. Not quite sure what it’ll cost to get him flown home after he is released from the hospital in Denver. Hoping to to get him home early next week.

Daniel is continuing to improve.

Update as of July 13th:

“Daniel has improved. Muscles in face are improving will start him soft solid food today. Still unable to lift his left arm more than two inches. Blood pressure is still going up and down. Very high sugar level can't seem to get it down. Very cranky. Oh I forgot thats just Daniel. Lol. Thank you all for the love and prayer.”

As many of you know Daniel and Donna Lackner took a vacation to drive from their home here in Stayton, OR out to Texas to take their grandson to his mom and then explore the US during their month long road trip.

Daniel has suffered a stroke while on the road on Tuesday July 11th and was taken to a hospital in Denver, Colorado. He was originally put in the ICU where he had an MRI done that has shown several mini strokes as well as the major one.

At this time he is being transferred out of the ICU into a patient room and is supposed to start physical therapy. He is not doing great at this time, and is on medication so we don’t quite know the extent of the damage.

With that being said we need to raise some money to get Daniel hopefully transferred to a hospital closer to home and to get Donna home as well so she does have to drive the 1280 miles alone and stressed.
