Help Daniel Lyons beat lung cancer

In mid February Daniel started to have congestion and a really bad cough.  Like most of the time he just figured it was the normal congestion and seasonal allergies from the crazy weather we have in South GA.  On February 17th Daniel told his wife to make him an appointment to see his doctor. On February 18th the doctor ran the normal flu test. It was negative. He decided to do a chest x-ray and notice something that he felt needed to been looked at by a ct scan.  So Daniel had the CT scan on February 20th and was back at the doctor office on the 21st. As he and his wife sit there in the room the doctor came in and said there is a 6 cm mediastinal mass in the center of his chest that is pushing on his trachea and is right near the aorta.  He was quickly referred to a thoracic surgeon who performed a biopsy and an oncologist for a consult and a pet scan.

On March 5th , Daniel and his wife were at the oncologist's office when he was diagnosed with SMALL CELL LUNG CANCER.  That he actually has a 7 cm mediastinal mass in the center of his chest outside of his lung. Because of the location , it appears to be inoperable.  Daniel will have to undergo and MRI of his brain to make sure there is no cancer there since this type of aggressive cancer tends to go to the brain.

There is never a time when you can honestly say that you are prepared to hear the words "you have CANCER."

For those that may not know Daniel personally let me just give you a little glimpse of who is ....

Daniel is an old soul, he doesn't like change.  if he could, he would still be wearing his levi's and white Nike sneakers from 20-30 years ago. He   is a story teller,always trying to tell a story to his kids to teach them some type of life lesson.  He is an amazing husband to Julie. 

 They will soon be celebrating 30 years together. He is best daddy to his daughter, Morgan and his son, Luke. He just loves being their dad. He is a loyal hard-working man that loves his family and has always provided for them. He loves history and keeping up with today's politics.  His kids have told him many times that he should have been a history teacher because he is a walking history book.  Daniel also runs a familly trucking company with his family that his father started over 40 years ago. Daniel just has a way with people, his gentle spirit, the way he talks to people, empathizes with people, treats people, treats people...just that smile that can light up a room.(thats what his wife says) 

During these past 3 weeks Daniel and his family have felt all different   emotions but they believe and serve a living, healing Almighty God that can turn the most dismal diagnosis' and situations around for good and his glory.  We are believing for complete healing and restoration.

So i ask that if you can please spread the word of Daniel's story.  To lift Daniel up vigilantly.  To pray for Daniel like it is your husband, brother , uncle ,father, son.... and if you are able, to please support them  financially to help ease the worry of covering all the bills and expenses that they will incur.br />
