Help Daniel Marquez beat Synovial Sarcoma!
Hello friends and family! Our sweet friend Daniel was recently diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma, and his life has completely changed since. What started off as recovering from a fall, his foot injury continued to swell with no signs of healing, despite multiple trips to the doctor. He was then misdiagnosed with Gout, and Daniel continued compliance with adjusting his diet, and adjusting to the pain, which then started affecting his ability to walk and subsequently, his quality of life. His foot grew more and more swollen, and after consulting multiple Healthcare Providers, a very large tumor was discovered in his CT Scan. Daniel was diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma, one of the most rare cancers, and is a cancer that is commonly misdiagnosed due to it’s slow growing nature and the locations of the body it chooses to affect. Because of the impact of the tumor, Daniel had to make the choice to amputate his limb, in order to preserve the surrounding healthy tissue. Despite his strong efforts and sacrifice, the cancer grew more rampant and his course grew more acutely complicated with life threatening blood clots and debilitating pain.
He is now faced with having to resort to chemo treatments and all of its risks and side effects, to be able to fight off the cancer from spreading. Daniel’s life completely changed in what felt like it happened all so quickly. Even something as simple as his love for eating Tom Yum Soup is now something his body can no longer handle. And in addition to all the physical changes, there is the burden of facing the costs in treatment.
Daniel is one of the most loveable and resilient people I have ever met. Despite everything he is going through, he still makes the time to be there for everyone, and still makes an effort to be his energetic, optimistic, hilarious, and fun loving self, when he has every reason not to. Any form of support is essential to help him survive and thrive. He is so giving of his love, and him and his loved ones are grateful for anything you would be able to contribute Thank you for everything and never take love and life for granted ❤️
