Hello, my name is Juan Daniel and I recently finished my medical studies at a university in Bogotá. My passion has always been to help others, and ever since I was little I have looked for different ways to help people around me.
I started my medical studies in 2013 with the intention of helping others, firmly convinced that it was not enough to have good intentions, but that actions had to be taken in order to have a positive impact. It is because of this belief that throughout my undergraduate studies I taught private school students to pay for my personal expenses and volunteered on weekends by helping older people finish their high school studies.
However, due to the economic situation of my family, I had to study the last half of my medical degree with a loan from a Colombian state institution. I currently work as a general practitioner but my salary is not enough to pay for the loan installments which currently exceed my income and due to this crisis we're living in I have no time to work a second job.
Alleviating my debt would mean that I would get to do my residency in Orthopedics and Traumatology since I am passionate about helping people who are looking for the possibility of performing physical rehabilitation caused by different types of ailments.
I ask you to help me alleviate a part of my debt so that I can pay my installments and continue my process of becoming the BEST DOCTOR I CAN BE to help people and always be ready to serve society.
I understand that we're living in tough times which makes asking for money difficult. There are possibly more important causes, but I assure you that helping me will be synonymous with helping many people through my work!

Hola, mi nombre es Juan Daniel y recientemente terminé mis estudios de medicina en una universidad de Bogotá. Mi pasión siempre ha sido ayudar a los demás, por lo que desde que soy pequeño he buscado diferentes formas para hacer servicio social y tratar de mejorar la situación de la gente que me rodea.
Inicié mis estudios de medicina en el 2013 con la intención de ayudar a los demás, firmemente convencido de que no bastaba con tener buenas intenciones, sino que había que tomar acciones para impactar de una forma positiva. Por lo mismo, durante todo mi pregrado dicté clases a estudiantes de colegios privados para pagar mis gastos personales y como voluntario los fines de semana para personas mayores que querían terminar sus estudios de secundaria.
Sin embargo, debido a la situación económica de mi familia tuve que estudiar la última mitad de mi pregrado de medicina con un préstamo que hace una institución estatal colombiana. Actualmente trabajo como médico general pero mi salario no me alcanza para pagar las cuotas del préstamo ya que el valor de estas exceden mis ingresos y no me queda tiempo para conseguir un segundo trabajo en esta época de crisis.
Adicionalmente, tengo toda la intención de hacer la residencia en Ortopedia y Traumatología ya que me apasiona ayudar a la gente que busca la posibilidad de realizar una rehabilitación física causada por diferentes tipos de dolencias.
Les pido que me ayuden a alivianar una parte de mi deuda para poder pagar mis cuotas y seguir en mi proceso de ser el MEJOR MÉDICO QUE PUEDA SER para ayudar a las personas y estar siempre presto a servirle a la sociedad.
Entiendo que en esta época de crisis no es fácil pedir dinero, y posiblemente hay causas que parezcan más importantes, pero les aseguro que ayudarme a mi será sinónimo de que con mi trabajo ayude a muchas personas!
