Help Danielle Bigler fight Leukemia

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to read about our amazing sister, Danielle’s story. We are the siblings of Jeff and Danielle, and we created this page to support their family during this unimaginable time. We have all been devastated since learning of Danielle’s diagnosis at 20 weeks pregnant with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). This news came as a complete shock to everyone and still does not seem possible. Danielle and Jeff have been crushed with this devastating diagnosis, but they are determined to get through this difficult journey for the healthiest outcome possible for Danielle and the baby.

Unfortunately, Danielle’s road to recovery will be both difficult and lengthy. We have created this GoFundMe in the event anyone would like to contribute financially to their family to help alleviate the financial strain that comes with battling Leukemia.

After her initial hospital stay, Danielle is currently receiving outpatient chemotherapy until the baby is born. Unfortunately, due to the unpredictable nature of Leukemia, Danielle’s treatment may require inpatient hospital stays prior to baby’s birth, and will require inpatient treatment after baby is born. Further, her treatment will likely be lengthy, with a possible span of two years requiring treatment. When the baby is born, he will spend time in the NICU, as he will need to be delivered early. Fertility treatments are also being considered by Jeff and Danielle due to the impact chemotherapy has on reproduction.

Danielle’s treatment plan is complicated due to the rareness of ALL and her pregnancy, and is unfortunately not completely predictable. However, Jeff and Danielle remain positive, hopeful and have the upmost trust in their medical care team.

Any contribution made, no matter the size, will help them cover medical expenses incurred for Danielle and the baby.
