Help Danielle Maddox during chemo

UPDATE: We reached my original goal of $1500, so all additional money is being given to Danielle to purchase whatever else she needs or wants to get her thru this stressful time! Two of our friends actually purchased the water heater and dishwasher for her, and two other friends installed them for free so that ALL of the funds raised can go to help Danielle with bills, groceries and gas whatever else she needs. Many thanks to ALL who donated and continue to donate!!

February 11th she had a biopsy on a new lump before her chemo treatment. Her friends and family are all very scared for her and want to support her in any way we can. >>UPDATE ON THE BIOPSY >> it was only a pocket of DEAD Cancer cells and is harmless!! Massive relief!

Hi, I'm Robin. I am fundraising for a very good friend who is undergoing chemo right now for Stage III Breast Cancer. Danielle Maddox is the Director of an animal rescue in central Arkansas that we founded together in 2012 (ArkanPaws Animal Rescue). We have adopted out more than 4,000 dogs (and some cats), mostly to adopters in New England. She has sacrificed so much the past 10 years to help so many people in the community with unwanted pets, and now she needs OUR help.

 

She has hit many roadblocks during chemo, and some of them have been because of complications with other health issues (Aortic Bridge in her heart and Fibromyalgia), and there have been many complications exacerbated by COVID because the hospitals and doctors are overwhelmed/understaffed and having difficulty scheduling her chemo treatments. Several times she has had severe reactions to the chemo treatments and ended up in ER or being admitted to the hospital, and as a result has had to skip chemo treatments per the doctor's instructions. February 11th she had a biopsy on a new lump before her chemo treatment. Two weeks ago her dishwasher went out, and two days ago her water heater went out. She needs help paying for them and hiring the plumber to install them. All funds raised will go toward helping Danielle get thru chemo and be comfortable at her own home. Any extra funds will go toward helping her pay her bills or buy groceries and supplies while she is unable to work. She is one of the best people I know, and so many friends and adopters want to help her in any way we can -- and this is a good way to do it!
