Help Danielle Recover & Get Back on Her Feet
Donation protected
On December 29th, Danielle took a bad fall during one of Eastern Washington's snow storms. Her fall resulted in a severe ankle break in three places, which led to a surgery requiring multiple plates and screws to put her back together. The surgery has left her with a high potential of permanent stiffness and less mobility in that ankle.
Part of Danielle's road to recovery requires her to stay on bed rest, with her foot elevated for a minimum of 6 weeks. The full term of her recovery will be about 4 months. During those 4 months, she won't be able to do normal day-to-day activities, and will still be restricted in movement.
Given this disability isn't a full 12 months, she doesn't qualify for state paid disability, and she has exhausted all other means through the hospital and state services. Unfortunately, this still leaves Danielle and Tristan (my 16 year old brother still living at home) in a stressful place financially.
Any funds raised will go directly to paying rent, utilities, non-insurance covered medical bills, essentials for Tristan, and the basic needs we all encounter daily.
Sometimes in life we find ourselves in hard and stressful situations, and we need to lean on our village for support. This is one of those times that I am reaching out to our collective village to support my family during this trying time.
