Help Danny and Clara at Joe's Convenience

Everyone in the North End of Halifax has likely been to Joe's Convenience once or twice, and at least knows it from its iconic sign.

In the last year Joe and his family have taken a well deserved retirement and passed on the store to Danny and Clara. Since then, they have been keeping us all supplied with the things we need in our every day lives, as well as bringing so much light to our everyday transactions. Between just amazing general store service, home cooked food and keeping the family vibe of the place, we are so proud and happy to have Danny and Clara in the neighborhood.

Unfortunately early tonight someone decided to break into the store and steal some product, greatly damaging the front window in the process. On a very rainy night on top of everything. For new business owners, starting costs and insurance premiums can be very high, so an incident like this can be very harmful. As a neighbor and patron, I hope that we can come together as a neighborhood to support this lovely family to recover from this incident with as much ease as is possible.
