Help Dante Recover After Eaton Fire

My name is Kristi and I live in Los Angeles. I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my very best friend Dante who lost her home, her job, and her community in the Eaton Fire.

Think back on your childhood, and your favorite teacher. The one who you still have a crystal clear memory of, who you looked forward to seeing every single day, who brought you so much joy, and changed your life for the better. That is the best way to describe Dante.

A passionate pre-school teacher, she has dedicated her life to raising the children of her Altadena Community. Dante is a beam of light, consistently putting her community first. She radiates joy no matter how difficult her circumstances and anyone who has the gift of meeting her is a little bit lighter and brighter.

Dante, like so many others in her community, experienced a complete shock and loss this week due to the Eaton Fire. Not knowing she wouldn’t be able to return, she left almost everything behind. Along with her home and possessions, the preschool she worked at also burned to the ground in an instant.

Despite this unimaginable loss, Dante remains committed to helping others, always hesitant to take resources away from families in need. This fundraiser is to support Dante’s recovery—helping her restore her life and address immediate needs as she navigates this challenging time. Funds will be used for essential living expenses, recovering her belongings, and supporting her path toward stability.
