Help Darcy’s Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On Saturday, March 26th, my mother D’Arcy suffered a stroke from a blood clot in her brain. Thank goodness, she survived the stroke and is currently in the hospital at Hamilton General under the care of a great team of doctors.
She has lost some vision and motor skills on the left side of her body. She is going to need to be rehabilitated to gain mobility back. Due to the stroke, she will be unable to drive and care for herself for the foreseeable future.
Anyone who knows Darcy knows how amazing of a person she is. She has had the most horrible year of her life, losing her son, under a lot of financial stress among other life changing events and now this…
My plan with this go fund me is to raise enough money to get her moved in with me down in Hamilton where I can give her the care she will need. I currently live in a one bedroom apartment, so I will be using any donations to help put money towards getting us disability accessible place to live that’s big enough to accommodate us and her new needs, as well as help offset any medical costs and cover time everyone will have to take off of work to help get her situated.
The good news is she is going to be okay, but she has a long road to recovery. Let’s help make this as easy as we possibly can for her.
Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart for any help you can provide.
