Hi everyone. Fundraising for our friend, Darren Wilaby, who was recently diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer.
He was first diagnosed after having a colonoscopy six years ago. In February of this year he began having hip pain.
X-rays , CT scans showed area of concern in his pelvis, as well as his right lung. The doctors biopsied both areas and, sadly, he was given the diagnosis of Stage IV colon cancer.
Treatments (radiation and chemotherapy) started shortly thereafter; he recently finished first ‘round’ of treatments.
All funds donated will be used for mounting medical bills and expenses.

Hi all…want to update everyone on Darren’s situation.
After receiving radiation therapy treatments and several rounds of chemotherapy over the last 8 months, the cancer is still rearing it’s ugly head…and unfortunately has metastasized (spread) to other areas of his body.
He started having headaches, balance and vision issues, which prompted doc to order brain scan.
Last Friday he was given the [devastating] results of the scan and immediately scheduled for brain surgery. He had the surgery this past Monday.
Surgery did go well…he is out of the hospital and meeting with Radiation Oncologist today to discuss treatment plan.
We are asking for your support at this time….Darren is a good man with a heart of gold…he’s a friend to many, a partner/mate, a father, a new Grandfather ❤️, a brother, a son….he cares deeply for his ‘people’….we want to show him how very much HE is cared for, how very much HE is loved.
Prayers, thoughts, positive vibes are needed at this time.

If you are able to make a financial donation….to help with medical bills, as well as day to day expenses…that would be wonderful and greatly appreciated as well. Alleviating some of the financial burden /worries so that he may be stronger in this fight against the f***ing Cancer. Cancer sucks. It just really effing sucks!
