Help Darryl fight renal kidney failure disease

Over the past 14 years, our loved one Darryl McKay has been fighting Stage X Kidney Failure Disease. He goes to dialysis 3 times a week for four-hour sessions each time. As

he has been supported by his family from the beginning, these last 3 years have taken a toll due to the loss of both of his parents in 2019/2020 and then the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Additionally, Darryl has been in and out the hospital on multiple occasions due to Congestive Heart Failure, blood clots and a infection in his leg, which was almost amputated, a TAVR heart valve procedure (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement), C-diff (Clostridioides difficile), and COVID-19 (twice). Unfortunately after his second bout with COVID, he was discharged for a bit then readmitted in November for Calcification, which is common among dialysis patients. Just this past June, Darryl was back in the hospital due the rupture of the fistula (port) in his wrist. Had it not been for the quick response from EMS, he would have bled to death.

Although, Darryl has used his journey to help those close to him, taking on the responsibility of helping out with his aging parents, helping to raise his nieces/nephews when possible,

and being active in his community when possible, he has accumulated a great deal of medical debt and unpaid expenses due to his illness.

Darryl is and has always been humble and would never want to burden anyone with helping to cover medical debt and unpaid expenses, we are asking that you please help in any way

you can. We are grateful for any amount that you can contribute. We want Darryl around for a long time and although he has been accepted for a kidney transplant; he is unable to go through the medical requirements(testing) due to current medical barriers he is facing and lack of finances.
