If you follow my stories you may know that in January I flew to Dragcon UK with @wizzair. I wanted to be in drag for the convention, so I brought drag with me. My luggage was then lost on the flight to London. I was already devastated by this, but the airline made me believe I was going to get my luggage back while still in the UK. At the end of March I received confirmation that it's now lost indefinitely. There were about 3.000 Euros worth of drag and other things in my suitcase, including all my makeup, day clothes and skincare, none of which Wizzair is compensating. The look itself consisted of custom clothing by @shopfairlyodd, @eda_birthing and @araknevienna. This took me about a year to finance and put together. Things like my tax return, climate bonus, money from every gig I saved up went into this. Now it's gone without any real explanation as to what happened. Not only is it a lot of money lost, but so much mental energy and emotional value. When I returned to Vienna, I fell into a major depressive episode, where I considered quitting drag, because it felt like there was no use in bothering and no coming back from this. If you know me, you know how incredibly important drag is to me. It's my creative outlet, an extension of myself and my gender identity and inspiring and entertaining with something I create brings me more joy than anything else. If you know me, you also know just how much effort I put into it. I borrowed makeup at first (thank you to @dopa_mania , @thetaxidermia [email redacted]13), but having to replace so much cut deeply into my budget, which was money already planned out for future looks. In the end, I didn't have enough money to eat, as I replaced some of the most urgently needed things. I've set the goal to about the amount of what was lost, but I in no way demand to reach it. I'm incredibly thankful for any help and donations I receive. My rent has increased 3 times since moving in and due to recent family situations that cut my budget even lower, I simply can't afford to replace so much of my missing stuff. Thank you, and lots of love Luma/Das Zirkuspferd ✨
