Help Dave Britton Conquer Cancer
Donation protected
In Early February Dave Britton was experiencing some issues with eating and swallowing. It rose to a level of discomfort that Dave decided to go see his doctor. The diagnosis was not what he and his family were expecting. Based on the doctors suspicions Dave went for a endoscopy and a CT scan. The news was cancer in his esophagus, and inoperable stage IV stomach cancer. Saying this news was devastating would be an understatement as anyone diagnosed and their families can tell you. Dave and his family have already endured many setbacks and heartbreaks that would have pulled many families apart.
Just one was when they found out their now 11 year old son Chase was born without a cerebellum. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/local/2014/08/14/lady-antebellum-chase-britton/14044329/
He has made tremendous progress over the years learning to walk and talk, when initially it was said those things would be impossible. This progress is certainly attributable to his parents love and advocacy. Dave has been a huge factor in Chase’s life and the thought of Dave not being there is too hard to think about. Dave – following Chase’s example – is fighting hard to stay with his family. He has already endured multiple rounds of Chemo and radiation therapy, and in the midst of all that suffered a stroke. All this treatment and time off from work is having a devastating financial toll on the Britton family. Please join us in trying to ease some of this burden, so Dave can heal with a little less stress on his mind.
