In loving memory of Dave Hansen - Supporting the Family

3/5 The family is sharing heartbreaking news. Dave passed away peacefully last night surrounded by his beautiful family. Even his dog Charlie was there. Please hold this family up in prayer over the days ahead.

2/26 Update: I wish I were reaching out with better news. Dave underwent an emergency craniotomy last night. Despite his heart being extremely weak, doctors believed surgery was necessary to relieve the swelling on his brain. The family is thankful for your prayers - which they believe protected Dave through this delicate operation. After the surgery Dave was put on life support. They attempted this afternoon to remove him from the ventilator without success. Tonight he remains on life support. Anyone who has spoken or seen Bridget is amazed at her strength and grace. She is an incredible mom and holding onto the hope that Dave will show positive signs soon. Despite their sadness they continue to be so positive and express how much everyone's support has meant to them.

Dave Hansen is coming off life support after suffering a severe stroke. His medical team is working tirelessly, but it will be a very long road ahead. Obviously this is in itself stressful, but it is coupled with the fact that Dave will not be working anytime soon to provide for the family. So for the foreseeable future Bridge alone will be carrying the financial burden along with still doing all the usual "mom" duties of a house with 4 busy kids. Just the medical bills alone are scary.

So many people have reached out asking how they can help. Friends are hoping that by putting this fund together it may help ease the burden just a bit so the family can focus on getting Dave back to health. Once he is home, caring for Dave while he recuperates will also take time and support. Bridget and the family can not express their gratitude these past days. The meals, visits, car rides for the kids have all meant SO much. Please keep the prayers coming! xo
