Keep David and Bonnie from being homeless

Hi, my name is Bonnie and I’ve been married for 15 years to my best friend David. I’m doing this go fund me to raise money to pay our rent and hopefully get us into a cheaper place to live. Three years ago we were renting a little one bedroom house and out of the blue got a 30 day no cause to move. We’d put some work in the house, rent was cheap and the landlord decided she wanted to move her son into the house. So 30 days later we were homeless and found this extended stay motel. We moved in and paid two weeks of rent. They charge weekly and my husband gets paid every two weeks. The rent was $225 a week when we first moved in. They’ve continuously raised it to what it is now, $390 a week. We’ve been paying it and struggling to get by. We’ve gone to food banks for food and lived on top ramen. It was a struggle and taking his entire check but we were making it work. We weren’t homeless. Well last month my husband David had to have surgery and this caused him to take time off work. Prior to that the plant he works at had a shutdown. So he got a short check. We were blessed by a kind lady who heard of our situation and went and paid the 2nd week rent we didn’t have. We were so close to sleeping in the car. We’re in Idaho and it’s winter. There’s snow on the ground and everything is frozen. So being in our 60s and not that great of health being homeless would probably be the death of us. His plant is in a shutdown again and this next check won’t even be close to being enough to pay two weeks rent. We live in a small town so there aren’t shelters for homeless people to go to here. We’d literally be living in our car. David is currently looking for another job and had an interview yesterday which sounded promising. We will have to wait and see. I’ve never done a go fund me before and when I told someone about our situation they suggested that I post a go fund me. We’re wanting to raise enough money to be able to pay rent here and start applying for an apartment here. We’re trying to get enough to keep us from homelessness. I know times are tough for a lot of people right now. If you decide to help us get out of this situation we would be so grateful. Currently we have one week paid towards our rent and another week coming due on Thursday the 4th of January. This place we live operates as a motel so if you don’t pay you have to get out that same day. This has been making me physically sick worrying about if we’ll have a roof over our head or not.
