Help David Bois Inspire Spinal Injury Survivors
Donation protected
My name is David Bois and I am hoping to raise funds to take my racing to a new level and utilize my platform to help others that have acquired a spinal cord injury get back to the racetrack. I was involved in a motor vehicle accident on July 8th, 2002, that left me paralyzed from the shoulders down; I am a C6-7 quadriplegic. Since that injury, I have gotten back to racing and I have found that many others who have sustained an injury like mine do not realize they can still accomplish amazing feats in their lives.
The funds requested as part of this crowdfunding campaign will be used to further modify my truck, with the ultimate goal of being able to compete in the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. This is an extremely lofty goal but I always aim as high as possible and work non-stop to reach that goal.
I also use this truck to take others around the racetrack with a Ride Along program I have pioneered with my nonprofit called the Live After Injury Foundation. Everything I do with my life now revolves around trying to help others and get them back into life. I want to set a positive example and be a positive roll model (a little wheelchair humor) for others who have had their lives changed through an injury that has left them in a wheelchair.
