UPDATE-HELP DAVID & DELORES' MEDICAL RELATED EXP

UPDATE:  With great sadness I am writing to let you know that just after arriving home from the University of Michigan Hospital on Thursday, July 22nd, David passed away suddenly.     He fought a courageous battle with his illness .   Thank you for all of the donations and uplifting words that were provided.   I would like to encourage you to please donate as Delores continues to incur expenses during this most difficult time.     Thank you ~ Jeannie  

Hi, my name is Jeannie Grigsby and I am requesting donations for my good friends, David and Delores

Gorter, as a result of David's serious medical conditions and ongoing hospitalization at the University of Michigan. David has been hospitalized in the ICU for 36 days now, with serious low blood pressure and kidneys that are not functioning at all. He has to undergo dialysis several times each week and his specialists are having a really difficult time maintaining his blood pressure to keep him stable.

At this point, the frustration, anxiety and financial burden are beginning to wear on both of them. They reside in Lewiston, MI and David's wife, Delores has been staying in Ann Arbor to be with him and assist in medical decisions and offer support as his condition changes daily. It has become financially difficult for her to stay in Ann Arbor and also pay their utility bills, car payment and insurance, phone bill, and other day-to-day living expenses. Please help me ease the financial burden they are under, so that they can focus on David's medical care and treatment.

David and Delores are wonderful, Christian people. I have known Delores (and now David) for the majority of my life. Delores is one of my best friends! There is nothing that they would not do for their friends, family and others. They now need our help!! Donations of any amount are welcome and will help offset the expenses they are incurring and allow Delores to continue to remain at David's bedside in Ann Arbor. The additional expenses include an inexpensive hotel, gas for their car, meals, laundry and other incidental expenses that are incurred.
