Help David Get Lifesaving Treatment at Mayo Clinic

Dear friends,

I am asking for donations to fund my scheduled appointment at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota on October 1, 2024. I contracted a serious blood condition after receiving the Moderna Covid vaccination in 2021. The blood condition is: ITP (Immune Thrombocytopenia Purpura). This condition destroys the platelets in my blood, eliminating the clotting factor of my blood. My condition has progressed over these past few years. It requires that I take several very toxic medications. ITP also causes extreme fatigue and a host of severe side effects.

I have been seeking the best care to treat this condition locally with hematologists in the area. The prognosis of this condition will eventually result in massive internal bleeding, stroke, pulmonary embolism, and eventually death. I am asking for donations so that I can travel to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Mayo Clinic, being the top hospital in the world, has an entire department dedicated to the treatment of this very rare blood condition. Mayo Clinic offers the finest treatment and the best chance at a more normal life. Mayo is at the forefront of treatment options, research, trials, and the development of therapies and medication that will give me a fighting chance.

When I was diagnosed with this condition after the Covid shots, I was very close to death. I have had several platelet transfusions from donors and my condition continues to deteriorate. My last resort is to get to the Mayo Clinic, where a team of doctors individualize treatment programs, groundbreaking proprietary treatments. I am also a type 1 diabetic, complicating this dangerous condition. I live in the northeast. The treatment at Mayo is outpatient. I am asking for your generosity to assist me with the travel expenses, hotel and airfare, and rental transportation. The medical evaluation and the appointments take place over 5 to 7 days of diagnostic tests including bone marrow biopsies, blood platelet infusions and extensive tests to target individual therapies.

I must say that I am embarrassed to reach out for donations, however, the tremendous symptoms have been devastating. I have been unable to work since the diagnosis. ITP is highly dangerous and even a minor accident can result in death. I have saved as much money as possible of the $4000.00 estimated and I humbly ask for donations to meet the $2500.00 deficit. My insurance only pays traditional medical expenses. It is embarrassing to post this here. I have endeavored to live a life of service, hoping to leave people in a better place. I hope that you will consider assisting me to overcome this devastating illness.
