Help David Heal and Get Back on the Road

Hello, my name is David, and I’m 25 years old. I’m the father of three beautiful children, and I work for Hernando County Code Enforcement. I’m not usually someone who asks for help, but right now, I find myself in a situation where I really need it.

On the evening of January 3rd, 2025, around 7:30 PM, my life changed in an instant when a car pulled out in front of me, and I was unable to stop in time. The impact was severe, and I was left with significant facial injuries from the airbag deploying, including a broken nose, cheekbone, and eye socket. I even required some small plastic surgery to begin the healing process. Tragically, the car that was involved in the crash was our family vehicle, and now we’re without transportation.

In addition to the physical pain, I now have mounting medical bills to take care of. My phone, which was knocked off its stand during the crash, caused additional damage to my face—literally bending in half when it hit me. I now also need to replace it, as it’s no longer functional.

I’m reaching out today to ask for your help, as I desperately need assistance with medical expenses, a new vehicle for my family, and to replace my broken phone. I know that times are tough for many, and I never thought I’d be in a position to ask for help, but anything you can contribute would mean the world to me and my family.

I also ask that everyone please take a moment to pay extra attention to the road. This entire situation could have been avoided with a little more care, and I wouldn’t wish this pain on anyone.
