Help David Keep Looking At Rocks... for science
Donation protected
Hey Everyone,
Over the Christmas weekend, my very good friend, David, had his truck broken into. He was returning from field work for his PhD (he is a geologist) and they stole just about everything. They took both of his drones, both tablets, climbing ropes, harnesses, field excavation tools, D7100 camera, Nikon F to Z mount, lenses, GPS equipment, Bruntin geologic compass, his magellan cooler full of beer (I know, it might be the worst of the losses), a gift he had just received from his girlfriend, and the list goes on.
Luckily, most of his data is backed up so it will not affect his PhD too much. The bad news is that his insurance isn't covering anything, not even the broken window. Thanks a lot Flo.
David is one of the most selfless people I have ever met. When he told me what happened, he was apologizing because they stole a gift he had bought for me as well, and he was now going to be late giving me a gift since he would have to buy a new one.
It's a terrible way to end a shitty year, and it happened to someone that truly doesn't deserve that kind of luck. So if you would consider donating, any amount is greatly appreciated. (He doesn't know this fundraiser is being created, and he would never ask for help, because that's just the kind of guy he is.)
Thanks, and Merry Christmas!
