Help David R Lester get his health and life back.

Hello, my name is David A. Lester, son of David R. Lester. My father had a heart attack on October 13th, 2021. When he fell over, he hit his head pretty hard. And he has been in the hospital since, battling high blood pressure, kidney failure, rapid heart beat, dialysis 3 times a week and more. He also has a concerning blood clot in his brain, caused by the head trauma when he fell over. So we've had it rough this past month.

He is going to need extensive care and physical therapy before he will get better. His insurance, unfortunately, does not cover a nursing home or the proper physical therapy that he needs. And now, the hospital is releasing him to my sole care, against my better judgment. We live in a 2nd floor apartment, and he is currently bed-ridden. He can't sit up or get out of bed without assistance. He can barely walk around with a walker. And our most pressing concern is getting him to dialysis 3 times a week, while I am the sole caregiver, who has a full time job and has to consistently work, just to pay our rent. As well as feeding him 5 times a day through what's called a peg tube in his stomach, using a special kind of concentrated food called nepro.

My father was also my roommate, and we've lived together for awhile splitting the rent. The cost of living in our area is high enough as is, now I'll have to try and pay the rent by myself while also taking full care of him. So our odds aren't looking very good.

I hate asking for help, and tend to be self-reliant, but I'm not sure what else to do in this situation. So any kind of help from any and all of you will be greatly appreciated. Anything donated will go straight towards the medical equipment, food he needs, assistance in getting him to dialysis, and possibly helping to keep a roof over our heads if I cannot make do on my own.
