Today, we come to you with heavy hearts and a sincere plea. David Ghersi, a 12-year-old boy, has been struck by a tragedy that no parent should face. David, the son of Luisa and Víctor, was enjoying a family trip in Colombia when a devastating incident occurred. During a soccer game with his brother Daniel, David suffered a severe fall.

His brother's words echoed on the hill: "Davidi!" His mother rushed to them only to find the most terrifying sight: her son lying unconscious on the ground. What followed was a nightmare that no parent should endure.

David was rushed to the hospital, where doctors discovered a cerebral hemorrhage.

A life-or-death surgery became the only option. Víctor, who had stayed behind working in Florida, had to travel urgently to Colombia to be by his son's side.

Thanks to the quick and brave intervention of the doctors, the operation was a success. However, David's struggle is far from over. He faces a long road to recovery, accompanied by mounting medical bills.

Luisa and Victor are hardworking people, but their income cannot keep up with the growing expenses. The financial burden of David's treatment, combined with household and personal expenses, is suffocating the family.
