Help David with expenses for funeral
Donation protected
David and Gina got married on December 11, 2010. On that day they began their bright future together as husband and wife. Their mutual love of dogs led them to expand their family and fill their home with love for each other and for their many rescued puppers. Soon after starting their life together Gina went through a life altering medical emergency. She lost a kidney and had to fight to keep her other one working. Gina had to go through rehab, which meant she couldn't see her babies, to learn to walk again. Gina was a trooper. She was a fighter. She overcame many obstacles to live her best life. Even with the medical problems always looming, she never let it stop her from traveling to new places and meeting new people and keeping a smile on her face. Gina always tried to look on the bright side of everything and she brought so much laughter and joy to those around. There really aren't any words to describe accurately the bright and beautiful woman named Gina Millar. From her Les stories to her fanatical FB postings during spring training she kept everyone around her laughing and smiling. Gina had love in her heart for animals, especially dogs, but she also had her loving obsessions with The Golden Girls, Baseball, Airplanes, and Traveling. David and Gina had many plans for the rest of their lives. However, those plans would never be reality. Gina began having pain again and this time she didn't waste any time going to see a doctor. Her biggest fear was that she would lose her one kidney and have to begin dialysis. After many trips to the ER, getting transfusions, and pain meds and CT scans over the last several months Gina was admitted to the ICU last week. Two days ago the doctors relayed the worst news possible. Gina had cancer, it was bad, it had spread, it was the cause of her pain these last several months. The doctors said six to nine months was her outlook. Yesterday Gina was released from the hospital and transported to hospice care to hopefully transition to home to enjoy her time left. Today, Gina Young Millar, succumbed to cancer surrounded by her loving family, holding David's hand. David thought he had time to make peace with all of this and to say goodbye to his love, but that was not to be. Now he has to spend the next bit of time planning a funeral and figuring out how to do life without Gina. I'm starting this GoFundMe to try and raise some money to help with the cost of funeral expenses, hospital expenses, and alleviate that part of the stress from David. He has enough on his plate right now, and really doesn't need the added stress. Any little bit helps. Thank you Gina for being you!
