Help Davon March Drum Corps

Hi!! My name is Davon McKeever and since I've been in elementary school, I've always followed a lifelong passion for music and performing. I'm a current senior in high school from the state of Delaware and have always loved music.

Throughout my high school journey, I've taken my performing passion to the next level, joining my school's Wind Ensemble Band, Marching Band, Pep Drumline, and Theater Arts program. Recently, in my senior year, I was selected to be the Drum Major of my school's marching band in the state of Delaware. Taking on this leadership role allowed me to experience things I could've never imagined, such as interacting with Drum Corps. I was able to learn many valuable skills from both programs and my own.

As the marching band season continued, I found more of a passion in conducting and leading a band. From there, I found a huge interest in Drum Corps. This is a program where you meet lifelong friends, travel the country while performing to the ultimate level. Think of it as the NFL of marching bands. Every band kid's dream is to march in Drum Corps!! My directors (past and present) have encouraged me to follow my dreams all the way through. So I did. I started to interact with a corps and took private conducting lessons every Friday. From there, I was able to drive up north to an audition camp as a conductor and hear great feedback. I wanted to get a spot as this is a forever dream, so I took that feedback the best I could, practiced day and night for about a month until the next camp. I went in so excited and confident, and by the end of this audition camp, I received a contract.

However, joining a program like this costs a ton. I want to be able to pursue my dreams and passions this summer and have the greatest memories. If you're still reading this message, would you please help me reach my goal of $4,800 for tuition? This covers the cost of being on the road for 3 months, food, uniforms, show costs, and other maintenance expenses to keep the corps at its best.
