Help Dawn Marie Overcome Her Battle

Hi, my name is Debbie Dupuy and I am fundraising for my sweet co-worker, Dawn Marie. We both work for the same company and she is a great co-worker and an outstanding Mother to her children. I heard about her needing surgery and the financial strain she will endure during the time she needs to recover. I decided that I will reach out through this account set up for her, if you can, please donate and let’s make sure she can get through this time in her life a little easier. I am 42 years old, work at Rouses and live in South Louisiana. 15 years ago I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in my left thyroid. They successfully removed it all and I’ve been living all of these past years without even having to take thyroid medication. Right over a week ago I suggested to my doctor that some similar symptoms were presenting themselves as they had 15 years ago. She agreed to do an ultrasound and it seems as if the cancer has now taken over the right thyroid.

We’ve set the date for the thyroidectomy surgery for June the 18th. The problem is is that I do not have disability insurance and I will need to take at least one complete week off of work. My 13 year old son is home for the summer so between him and my mother I am taken care of physically. I also have some amazing co workers tjT have set up a meal train to make sure we are fed while I recover and I am truly blessed for them all. I had a little money saved up but due to some unforeseen circumstances occurring this past week, I am now left trying to figure out how I’m going to come up with enough money to be able to take off the time. I know that everyone is struggling nowadays but any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated!
