Help Dayle McLeary Recover From Brain Injury
Donation protected
This campaign is for Dayle McLeary.
Dayle is a vivacious young woman with a fierce love for animals. She has rescued injured squirrels, birds, and taken in stray cats, giving them a forever home. Recently, Dayle fulfilled a childhood dream and acquired a horse named Sister.

Dayle was riding Sister when she fell off and hit her head on a rock. The base of her skull suffered a small "crush" and laceration. She was taken by ambulance to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center, then airlifted to Providence Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska.
Dayle's MRI revealed a couple bone fragments in her brain cavity which resulted in immediate surgery to remove them. A couple screws and metal plate are now in place while she begins the long road to healing.
Twenty-four hours after the fall, the hospital bills have so far exceeded $50,000 and that doesn't include the ambulance, Life-Flight, or the private doctors, anesthesiologists, etc...
Even after being released from the hospital, she'll require office visits, prescription meds, and another procedure to remove the metal plate in her skull.
At the time of this writing, Dayle is still in ICU but her prognosis for recovery is good. She's in the hospital... alone. Because of Coronavirus, no one can visit.

Dayle's Story:
At the age of 19, Dayle got a job with the State of Alaska. After more than 7 years of positive reviews and A+ evaluations, Dayle and many others were laid off from their jobs in the beginning of 2019, after a new Governor was sworn in.
Other than teaching horse-riding lessons to children, she has been out of work since then.
In December 2019 Dayle's fiancé, Noah proposed marriage! She said yes of course, and they planned a beautiful outdoor wedding at an Alaskan Homestead to be held in July 2020......

Then Covid-19 happened.
The wedding is post-poned until July 2021.

Two days before falling off of Sister, Dayle had interviewed for a new position with the State of Alaska and made the cut for a 2nd interview, which was supposed to take place only one day following her accident.
Dayle and Noah were (they thought) finally on track financially.
But this incident may bankrupt her.
Also, to offset the cost of boarding Sister, Dayle worked at the stables. Since she won't be able to perform her duties there, Sister's boarding fees will double.
Dayle may not be able to work until some time in the future, and she has no insurance. She will apply for assistance but it's not likely to cover the mounting debt and ongoing costs.
Bottom Line: Dayle needs your help — our help — to give her the financial stability and peace-of-mind she needs for her recovery. Please join us in helping her.
