Help Daylesford Speedway Build A Wall

Daylesford Speedway has been in operation for over 60 years.

The speedway has always been community oriented even back in the beginning,

Being built by returned servicemen.

We have always been a family friendly and affordable venue. Where we have great Junior and Ladies classes.

We have always kept our prices down and this has kept families happy for decades.

Our club has always been the underdog and the forgotten club.

We never received funding for walls or catch fences.

We have always had a tyre wall which allowed us to run our club classes but the time for this wall has come to an end.

We were unfortunate enough to have a fatality where a car rolled and was hit by another car.

Whilst the wall wasn't the defining factor in the unfortunate event we are sure that the tyre wall has had its run and needs to be replaced with a concrete wall.

Our club is a small family club with very little funds.

Being on council land they are happy for us to do improvements, but haven't got it within their budget to fund a concrete wall or catch fence for the speedway.

So we are asking for any help we can to get a wall around our track and get Racing At The Basen again.
