Help Deaf Palestinian Family Evacuate Gaza

Hello everyone, my name is Karigan and I live in the US. I'm raising funds on behalf of a Deaf Palestinian family to help them evacuate from Gaza. They have no relatives outside of Palestine to set up their GoFundMe account so Moataz, the family’s father, has asked for me to help and requests your support to rebuild their lives.

Moataz and Yasmeen first reached out to me for support in December of 2023. We message one another daily or whenever they have an internet connection. Here is a message from Moataz and Yasmeen regarding their family situation and what life has been like for them.

From Moataz: I am deaf and mute. I have 3 children, two sons and a daughter, Maria, Ahmed, and Aboud (Abdullah). My wife also has special needs, deaf and mute. We have no breadwinner and no source of income. We are now in a time of war, suffering from a scarcity of food and drink.

From Yasmeen: Contribute to helping children and families in Gaza escape from it. The war in Gaza was not new to me and my family, but the intensity of the conflict quickly escalated, turning our once peaceful neighborhood into a battlefield. The air was thick with fear, and the nights were lit not by stars, but by relentless artillery barrages. In the midst of this chaos, my family found themselves trapped, our dreams of safety shattered by the harsh reality of war.

As the conflict intensified, an opportunity to escape emerged, but it was as fleeting as it was costly. The border between Egypt and Rafah, the gateway to safety, demanded a price too high for many to pay. For me and his family, this amount was as unattainable as the stars in the sky.
