Help Deakin Filko achieve his baseball dream

Hi, my name is Deakin Filko and I have been selected by Baseball Australia to represent Australia in a National U16 Championship, held in Atlanta Georgia this September. I am one of 44 (two teams of 22) to take on the best American Talent in this age group and my selection was based on this year's Australian Youth Championships (AYC) held in Blacktown NSW earlier this year where I represented South Australia. The competition will be tough as we are up against Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft and College prospects. This tournament is an opportunity for us athletes to showcase our abilities in front of MLB scouts and College selectors and open the doors to our future in baseball. Unfortunately, baseball in Australia is a minority sport and there isn’t any funding available, and we must fund this trip ourselves.
This program is made up of two components,
- High performance program - where wewill train and prepare for the tournament - Cost; $2,000.00
- The tournament itself - Cost $7,500.00.
The funds raised will be used to cover the tournament fees.
