Help Deanna Williamson Skidmore With Expenses
Please come together for Deanna Williamson Skidmore.
Help us keep a roof over her head, her utilities on and food on her table. Deanna normally worked 2-3 jobs at a time. Now she will be unable to work for quite some time, possibly years. Deanna’s life has been turned upside down. On New Year’s Day (1/1/2022) she fell from a 2nd floor balcony at her home. Her back was broken in several places and her spinal cord was severely damaged. Emergency surgery placed 12 rods, stabilizing the spine. The extent and permanence of damage to her spinal cord is unclear. We know that for the foreseeable future she will be unable to walk or live alone. Therefore her physical therapy team is training her to live her best life. There are some immediate accommodations needed to her home and eventually to her vehicle. There will be others needs that we cannot imagine at this time.
Deanna has been a part of the North Myrtle Beach family since the early 80’s. She fibbed about her age and became one on Harold Bessent’s work family. Throughout the years/decades she has been a fixture first at the door and then many , many years (30) behind the bar. Even after she moved from the area, she rarely missed working a SOS Event, a CBMA Event, St Patty’s Day or the Christmas/New Year week.
She is known for her brilliant smile, her quick wit and the love and caring she so freely gives. Right now she needs help with the home, lights, heat, food and day to day expenses. Please help us provide for her needs.
