Help Deb Voss with her mounting medical expenses.

My sister Deb Voss had a heart attack on Wednesday, March 13. She was brought to the ER via ambulance and was immediately sent to the cardiac catheter lab to have a blockage removed. The circumflex artery was 100% blocked. Unfortunately, during the procedure, the artery was perforated. Deb had several cardiac arrests and was placed on the ECMO machine to assist her. She was also placed on a ventilator at that time. The bleeding around her heart lead to excessive blood loss and the need for exploratory abdominal surgery to try and stop the bleeding. Deb has been sedated since the initial procedure.
As of today, Saturday, March 16, Deb is still in the ICU but has made progress. The doctors have taken her off the ECMO and also off the Impella heart pump. Her heart is beating on its own! So that’s good news! She is still on the ventilator but is breathing along with the vent. Deb is still critically ill and has a long way to go to recover.
I am starting this page to help my sister and her daughter with the hospital bills that are mounting. She has not been conscious since Wednesday morning and has no idea what has happened yet. I don’t want her stressed and worried about the medical bills when she wakes up. She will most likely need to go to a cardiac rehab facility after the hospital which will add to the expenses. I greatly appreciate any support you can give my sister.
Deb is a single mother supporting her daughter on her own. She lives with our mother and assists with her care. She is a dedicated employee of Schnucks supermarkets. Deb loves God, her family & friends, coworkers, and all of her cherished customers at Schnucks!
Thank you for your love, prayers, and support for Deb.
