Help Support Debbie's Dream
Donation protected
We got some very unfortunate news confirmed last night. We were holding out hope and praying for a miracle, but my mom’s house in the Palisades burned down.
First and most importantly, she and our dogs are safe—but everything else is gone.

My mom’s name is Debbie, and she just moved into this house less than a month ago fulfilling her lifelong dream of moving out to the west coast. Just one week ago we spent the holidays at this house together and she was so happy, so proud of herself for making it out here, for saving up and buying a house in the place she dreamt of living in.

She has been through so much in life, fought for her dreams, and transformed herself after a divorce two years ago. She gave up her dreams for her marriage, and she gave up her dreams for being a mother, and she gave it all SELFLESSLY.

Once all the kids moved out of the house, she built up the courage and strength to choose her own path in life and got a divorce, and started living for herself again. It wasn’t easy but it was a beautiful transformation and one that makes me so proud to be her daughter.
After all her sacrifice and hard work - this move to California was a fresh start. I can still picture her looking around at the house, smiling and filled with so much joy even though it needed so much renovation and work (which she planned to do over the years as she could afford it).

And now it’s gone.
So, I’m reaching out to our community to show her love and support. Here’s how you can help:
1. Messages of encouragement & support: Her Instagram is @debbie_lags. She doesn’t have a community in California - the worst possible thing is to feel alone in the face of such great loss and challenges.
2. Donations: Literally anything helps—clothing (women’s size 7 shoes and basics), toiletries, groceries, electronics. She has to rebuild her entire life from nothing. If you are a service provider (hairdresser, nail tech, massage therapist, healer, etc.) and you would like to give the gift of your time, we would be immensely grateful.
3. GoFundMe: The funds from this campaign will go toward temporary housing, food, dog supplies, and helping her replace essential items she can’t afford. My mom is a dedicated triathlete, and all her gear is gone. Cycling is her happy place, and she won’t be able to buy a new bike without help. In dark times, having small joys is so important.
4. Share this post: Please share this post. If you can't donate, it would mean the absolute world to us to be able to help her get back on her feet. We sadly aren’t in a place to be able to financially help her after losing most of our things too- but she needs it more.

If you know of any brands willing to collaborate or donate products, we’d love to surprise her with some essentials and joy. As content creators, we’d be happy to work together to rebuild her life and spread the word about their generosity.
My mom is the kind of person who always says, “I’m fine” or, “Someone else has it worse.” But now it’s her turn to receive love and support. She deserves to rebuild not only her life but her dreams.

Sending love to anyone facing challenges like this right now. When we come together as a community, we can overcome anything. ❤️
Love,
