Hi this is meenakshi. I live in orangefield
My in-laws Debbie and Buford who live in orangefield too, got 5-6ft of water in their house from hurricane and were rescued by an air-boat as it was sudden flooding. They have been told that it may take weeks for all the water to recess. Almost Everything they had had been destroyed, their cars are totalled and the house has lot of damage (appliances, sheet rock, trim flooring, furniture...). After the water went down some they could take some pictures of inside, I have attached those pics.
They Lost their younger son 2 years back in Sept and now around the same time they lost the memories they had in VHS tapes and pictures.
They were not in the flood zone and were not required to have flood insurance. Home owner insurance is not covering the damage as it's due to flooding. They applied for disaster relief and FEMA has agreed to pay $500 so far.
Please help them to recover from this loss and get their lives back again.
The funds will be used to buy appliances and furniture.
