Help Debbie through recovery.

Hello, my name is Devin and I'm fundraising for my mother-in-law, Debra Soukup, who needed emergency surgery out-of-state.

On Sunday, January 29th, Debbie and my wife, Jacqui, flew out to Colorado to see her mother/grandmother before she passed away. While caring for her mother, Debbie became critically ill and was taken to the ER by Jacqui.

The doctor diagnosed her with a perforated colon which required life saving measures, due to contamination in all four quadrants of her body. The surgery was successful, but she was kept in a medically induced coma and on a ventilator for multiple days in the ICU. The doctors thought this would give her body the rest it needed due to the shock of the surgery and the sepsis she was fighting.

On the day she made the most progress, having the ventilator removed and breathing on her own, her mother passed away.

This fundraiser would help with the medical bills in an out-of-state hospital, lodging and rental car for her and her husband, Tony, and rehabilitation during the recovery process in Colorado.

Debbie has a long road ahead to recovery and every little bit helps.
