Help "Deegan"

Hello, I am Jessica. The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise funds for this poor teenager kitty. During my drive to work on Sunday morning, at approximately 6:15 AM, I noticed a kitten lying on the side of the Major Deegan Highway in NYC. Saturday morning, I had observed him in the same location, but did not believe it to be a kitten. In other words, this kitten was abandoned on a major four-lane highway for at least 24 hours. As soon as I picked up the kitten, I took "Deegan" to the only veterinarian open on a Sunday morning. A 24 hour emergency veterinarian is extremely expensive, but this little creature deserved to be relieved of pain and to be examined by a veterinarian. As it turns out, he does not have a chip, he also has an extensive road rash/wounds, and his leg is severely fractured. The poor kitty will need surgery, but with the correct treatment, he is almost certainly going to make a full recovery. Currently, Deegan is taking antibiotics, steroids, and pain medication. To assist with his care, I am currently caring for him and seeking medical fosters as well. He has accrued a 2,000 dollar medical bill without surgery so far. The purpose of this funding initiative is to provide him with the surgery he will require as soon as possible. Despite his past and what he has been through, he is sweet, pure, and has the ability to "make bread" with his tiny little paws. Any help will be greatly appreciated, as I am inclined to do what is best to save this kitty. Surgery is crucial for the kitty's full recovery because it will allow the fractured leg to be properly realigned and stabilized. Without surgery, the leg may not heal correctly, leading to long-term pain, limited mobility, and potential complications in the future.
