Help Deema and her family survive the Gaza war and rebuild
Donation protected
Hello, I am Deema Talat, a software engineering student who lost everything, including my dream filled university. I belong to a large family of 8 sisters and my parents. I had hoped to leave the war in Gaza with my family and live in safety in Egypt. With the borders closed and the war still continuing this is now not possible. Instead I ask you to support us to survive this war and rebuild our lives.

- Deema's family home before the war.
Before October 7, I lived a beautiful life. I was preparing to start my career. I had a big house where I was living with my 8 sisters and parents.
After October 7, we lost our house. We moved from place to place, and now we live in a tent. It's like we have lost so much of who we are. In the cold and with constant fear of our safety, there is no shelter or protection from anything, and we are exposed to unsafe living conditions and starvation.

- Deema's family home now.
Starting over feels tough, like facing a big, empty space. Our old home, full of memories, is now just an empty place. Moving on is hard, and it feels like we're carrying yesterday's sadness into an uncertain tomorrow. We hope to find the strength to build something new, even though it seems like a big challenge.
In the wake of this adversity, I seek your support to alleviate these pains. I ask help for our safety and our healing.
My wish is for my family and I to be safe. I want to resume my education and nurture aspirations for a brighter future.
To do this I need help to afford basic supplies. In the future aim to build a new, secure home. With your help, we can craft a hopeful tomorrow from the fragments of today. Your support will be the cornerstone of a renewed journey.

- Deema and her sisters.
Your money will go directly toward the following needs:
• Safe shelter:
o Costs associated with securing a safe and stable place for the family during the war.
• Basic Living Expenses:
o Funds to cover immediate needs such as food, clothing, and essential supplies during the relocation.
• Rebuilding:
o Funds to help the family rebuild their home and their lives when the conflict ends.
A Note from the Fundraiser Organiser - My name is David Tracey, I am an Irish man living in London. Deema and my sister both work with Manara, a tech company supporting computer scientists from North Africa and the Middle East, to develop their skills and find employment (https://manara.tech/). Through my sister I became friends with Deema and I volunteered to run this fundraiser when I heard her story. I hope to help one family survive the violence and build a safer future. 100% of the proceeds of this fundraiser go to Deema and her family. Thank you for your support.
