Help My Mom Restore Her Life After Devastating Fire.

Dear Family and Friends,

My mother Deena Hahn never thought this would ever happen to her, but then it did. For over 50 years living in the Palisades, there were fires in the area every year, and she would go and then come back home.

This time it was different. What seemed to be another precautionary, routine evacuation soon became reality in minutes. She left with nothing but the shirt on her back.

Now, following the Palisades fire, there’s no hope to be found anywhere. My mom is retired and the house was her retirement. She's a cancer survivor who immigrated here from South Korea with little English and worked tirelessly 7 days per week in the Santa Monica Place before it closed, saving every penny to buy this home.

While she has property insurance, we are learning they are not able to cover all she lost and reimburse the cost to rebuild her house.

It’s hard to ask for help, but she is going to need it. Any funds raised will help her with clothes, food, shelter, medication, and other basic needs to hopefully restore some of what is gone.
